I’ve noticed myself feeling a little off-balance. So, like any normal person would, I noted some of my daily activities on an arbitrary grid and how they make me feel.
Running is always restorative, and running with friends is rejuvenating. Writing and coding get at some deep part of me that just feels right. Scrolling always feels bad.
As these patterns emerged, it’s clear that I feel most fulfilled when I’m engaging directly with the world around me, and especially when I’m contributing to it. So in 2026, I resolve to spend more time on the right of the diagonal line (“line of fulfillment”) than to the left.
(and because it’s the NFL playoffs right now, expect me to be creating a lot to offset that consumption 🤗)
